 Spring of 1990
Baseball
In spite of the fact that the CBA
Golf team went on to sectionals
in 1990, for the Brothers it was
another average season. In past
years, CBA has always done well
in the sport of golf. The Brothers
have been champions in one form
or another in 1984, 1985, 1987,
and 1988. The team in 1990 was
a young one, composed mainly
of freshmen and sophomore play
ers. The team once again went
off to the Drumlins West Course
to play what some call the great
est game of all.
The year was up and down.
The season began with absolutely
awful weather, making the season
much shorter than originally in
tended. When it got underway.
the anxious swinging Brothers got
right out and began practice.
The season soon began and
Coach John Pasano and his
players began to see what kind
of team they had under the pres
sure. The results were mixed, and
truly what was expected, a young,
developing team with a great deal
of raw talent.

The 1990 Brothers Baseball
team delivered thrills and excite
ment beyond all expectations.
With excellent pitching and timely
hitting, the team finished a strong
second in the Metro Division,
earned the Section III, class C
Championship, and went all the
way to the State finals before be
ing eliminated.

Although the departure of sev
en seniors would make most teams
considerably weaker, the Broth
ers hope to re-build in 1991 with
returning stars Mike Anderson,
Jason Macko, Ron Marshall, and
Jeff Francher, as well as a strong
supporting cast of underclassmen
to round out another champion
ship season.
