 Modified Football, Indoor Track
The beginning of a football play
er's career starts here, at a basic
level. A young Modified football team
with dreatns and a devoted coach
go out to play the afternoon games.
At first,it is a struggle: victory, pain,
loss, and glory, all in one sport. Later,
it would be a new game, one that
needed to be won not just for them
selves, but also for the people who
supported them.
The team was a young one, as all
Modified teams are, and small in
number, due to the student body size
at CBA. Many players will play on
the Modified team again next year.
Many will play for the Varsity team
as a new generation of CBA players
ready to make themselves proud as
well as the people supporting them
in new and exciting seasons to come.
Indoor Track was a chance for
athletes who ran in Cross Country
to keep in shape and continue run
ning. For most, it was a chance to
keep in shape until Track and Field
started in the Spring.
The Indoor Track team competed
in events in a warm gym, as opposed
to the cold weather the Cross Coun
try team endured in the Fall. The team
was coached by Jasper Royal, who
worked his team hard, but the re
wards for his efforts and the team's
were great.
The Modified Football team and
Indoor Track were gateway sports
that helped team members gain ex
perience for higher levels.
