Barely three years old, the Lady
Brothers varsity basketball team rolled
into the 1990-91 season full of hope
and expectation. New Head Coach
Theresa Quilty took charge and ran
the girls through a rigorous regimen
of running and drills. From basics, like
setting a good pick, to breaking the
full-court press, and filling the lanes
on a fast break, the Lady Cagers
Felicia Nov/icki waits patiently for the pass.
were a tireless, well-trained basket­
ball team.
The team was anchored inside by
Seniors Marianne Oliva, Adrienne
Pollichemi, and Felicia Nowicki.
Juniors Joanne Castro, Kristy Car­
bone, and Erica Speach provided
superb shooting and ball-handling on
the outside. Sophomores Jennifer
Wolf, Allison Geiss, Kelly Romano,
and Freshmen Lynnnette Santana
and Sarah Squadrito provide a sol­
id foundation for the future.
Although the wins did not come
as frequently as we hoped at the
start of the season, the team played
hard, played well, and never stopped
hustling.
