 Seasonal Blues
Young Stickmen have
a tough season
The score was tied, with thirty seconds left to
play. General Brown had the ball and were work
ing it to the goal when the defense suddenly forced
a turnover. The middies took it up the field on a fast
break, and passed it to attackman Eric Schneid,
who fired it into the goal with only three seconds
left on the clock.
The J.V. stickmen finished their season with a
dissappointing record of 4-9. Part of this was due
to the fact that seven sophomores moved up to the
varsity level. This left second year coach Augie
Rotunno with many young and inexperienced play
ers and a lot of work.
The offense was led by the sure shots of attack-
men Eric Schnied, Mike Wood and Mike Her
ring. The midfielders were led by the strong stick
handling of Greg Unger and Bob Smythe. The
strength of the defense was centered around the
hard hitting of Vinnie Socia and Billy Anderson.
