P. 89

The 1987 Varsity Lacrosse team, led by Coach Dick Pepper and Assistant Coach Tom Hannon, took a giant step in the direction of a winning season. The Brother’s swept the first five games of the season, turning heads ofother teams in the league.
The Brother’s offense, under former Empire State Games Lacrosse Head Coach Hannon, worked well, coming through with bigplays in times ofneed. Contributing to this offensive attack were Mike Moran, Jim Burns, and Paul Demore, who moved the ball well, often surprising opposing defenses. The Brother’s well stocked midfield, spurred by the unpredictable tactics of
junior Tim Phelps, worked together with the attackmen to produce a power-
full CBA offense.

Let’s talk defensel The 1987 season marked the beginning of a solid defen sive tradition that is sure to continuefor year’s to come. Veteran defensive play
from seniors Tom Anderson and Tony Silvaggio, combined with aggressive play from defensive specialists playing midfield and attack, shocked the entire league, including state champion Jamesville-Dewitt, who was limited to only 4 goals by the Brothers.
The Brothers finished 7-10, and are looking forward to the 1988 season. With the return ofvaluable starters Ted Barker, Dave Michaud, Pete Dom broski, Paul Demore, Paul Esposito, Pat Cox, Greg Mills, Tim Phelps, and Joe Adornato, the Brothers look to hav ing a winning season and a trip to Sec tionalplayoffs in May. Good luck to the Brothers 1988 lacrosse squad.
