9. Finally, instructors receive a lot of emails in one day. Be sure to
proofread for grammar and spelling mistakes. You want your message
to be easy to read and you want to convey that you are a
conscientious student
These guidelines will also be useful for writing to other school officials or to
people outside of school, such as employers, supervisors, and co-workers. You
will probably find that some instructors have a more relaxed style, but until you
hear from them, you won't go wrong with a formal style.
