                                . Poaching in a juicy red wine like a Zinfandel or
                Malbec brings added depth of flavor. And the color! Oh, the color is
                delightful, ruby red and glowing. As seen against the brightness of
                green  pistachios,  the  color  of  the  wine-saturated  pear  pops  even

                more spectacularly. And in my opinion, the combination of juicy and
                sweet wine-infused pear mingling with the heady flavor of pistachio
                is intoxicating.
