ICE CREAM CONE CAKES

A chapter on special cupcake creations would not be complete without this
recipe, one you will use over and over for birthday parties. You can vary it each
time by baking a different type of batter, using different frostings, and topping it
with fun candies and other decorations. These cones look great with a large
spiral of frosting, so I suggest making an extra batch. But they can also be
frosted with a less over-the-top swirl. For an unusual presentation, nestle these
cones in a platter of wheat grass, a cloud of cotton candy, or mounds of coconut
and candies.
