Broome High School
Broome High School students, faculty
and staff gathered on Friday, March 30
to celebrate Broome's legacy and those
who built and continue to build upon that
legacy. Guests included former SGA
presidents, retired faculty and staff,
former principals, past and present
school board members, and our district
superintendent. SGA president, Brian
Linder, thanked all who had contributed
to Broome's history and legacy and
challenged others to continue Broome's
legacy.
Emerald Dover, a student at Broome High School took the
stage in front of a live audience to sing for the chance to
oust four others for a $5,000 prize at Amateur Night at the
Apollo in New York City. Dover was one of five contestants
chosen out of more than 300 children and teens to perform
at one of New York’s most well-known music venues. At
the end of competition - Emerald was the winner!

Members of Broome High School’s
Student Government Association
participated in the annual State
Convention. Students had the opportunity
to attend workshops, meet other students
from around the state, and hear inspiring
messages from great leaders in South
Broome High School tenth and Carolina. Lucy Campbell was inducted
eleventh grade young ladies into the Terry McCoy Hall of Fame as part
attended the annual Women in of the SC Association of Student Councils.
