Pacolet Elementary School third graders
worked with Lorraine Moore in the ATLAS
program on cooperating during a problem-
solving challenge. They had to save Fred,
the gummy worm, from drowning by getting
a life preserver on him using only paper
clips.

Cowpens Middle School

Practicing problem solving, the Cowpens Middle School STEM
students assembled the new rolling cart.

Students in Kesha Robinson’s class at Cowpens Middle
School played Battleship to practice their alphabet sounds
and numbers in Spanish. They enjoyed some competitive
fun while practicing activities in their target language.

Cowpens Middle School’s Special Olympics
Unified Champion team opened their 2018-19
Special Olympics season Tuesday with the

Tennis Competition. CMS had four 1 place, three

participation awards. We are very proud of our
athletes and their mentors!
