Architecture and Construction Arts, A/V Technology & Communications

Students practice basic installation of wiring in residential and
commercial buildings. Practice circuits include lighting, appliances, This course will introduce the student to the world of Graphics
doorbell, receptacles, running cable, and installing conduit. and Printing. Our classroom & lab areas are similar to commercial
Advanced students will learn basic installation of wiring of screen and offset printing companies. Through advanced
industrial motor controls and other industrial wiring applications computer skills, students will learn the design process from idea
such as three-phase and single-phase motors, motor controls, to printed piece. Student projects include designing and printing
machinery wiring and installing conduit. notepads, newsletters, 1 color t-shirts, vinyl decals, and basic
photography. Emphasis is placed on multicolor printing projects
for second year students.
