District News Clifdale Elementary School students
At the May Board meeting, the following
were recognized for having art work on
display: Mayson Coyle, Caroline Creel,
Brandi Crocker, Heather Deese, Lily
Duckett, Nathan Earnhart, Keagan Eller,
Ruby Fitzgerald, Mason Fortner, Braylon
Jones, Arsenii Kishchuk Lilly Kotzur,
Raegan Lambert, Carmen Levia, John
Mills, Xyha Sistare, Rylan Trammell, Lily
Trejo, Jaylen Whitehead, and Shamya Wilkins.
Each year Duke University holds a 4th – 6th grade talent search
through their Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP). Duke TIP
scholars achieve in the top 5% of their grade level. The program
recognizes the accomplishments of these students and offers a
wide variety of online curriculum and resources for the student.
This year’s Duke TIP Scholars from Clifdale Elementary School
are: Logan Batten, Caleb Kyle, Regan Cox, and Holly Grizzle.
Clifdale Elementary School's Odyssey of the Mind
teams placed first and second in state competition.
Placing first were: Holly Grizzle, Tony Crocker, Da’Nya
Geter, Randi Crocker, Jordan May and Logan Batten.
Placing second were: Jesse McCullough, Jeremiah
Oliver, McKenna Huckabee, Cameron McGill, and
Clara Dondiego.
Clayton Wells, a senior at Broome High School, caught the biggest fish at
the Palmetto Boat Center High School Trail at Clark Hill weighing 8
pounds, 15 ounces. The fish is the largest ever in the six year history of
the trails.
