Broome High School
Broome High School Beta Club officers are
proud to announce Broome High School as a
2017-2018 National School of Distinction.
This award is an honor for Beta Chapters
striving towards academic achievement,
exemplary character, demonstrated
leadership and service to others.
Cowpens Elementary School
Haylin Shelton scored a perfect 10 as a snowboarder at
Cowpens Elementary School’s Family Literacy Night. She
and other students and their families enjoyed a variety of
Olympics games, book giveaways, campfire read alouds and
prizes. The Winter Olympics theme was “Go for the Gold!”
Dancers, Markis Allen and Vashti Baluch,
performed the Lindy Hop at the Cowpens
Elementary School Black History
program. Their segment was part of a
retrospective of African Americans’
contributions in the fields of science, the arts
and human rights.
Cowpens Elementary School fifth grader, Derrick
Martin, took notes on the design of his team’s
racecar and considered whether it would
outperform his classmates’ car in terms of speed
and distance.
