Dana Wood from the Upstate Workforce Board
visited Cowpens Middle School to speak to students
about employability skills. She gave students
important tips for their first job interview and
suggestions about how to present themselves to
potential employers.

Cowpens Middle School sixth grade STEMs students worked
to program robots to move in a particular direction.

Cowpens Middle School students in Erle Hill's pre-
algebra classes participated in their first AVID vocabu-
lary activity (World Cafe').

Cannons Elementary School

Volunteers from around the community come to
Cannons Elementary School to participate in the
STARS (Students Taught to Achieve Reading
Success) program each year. This week the
school kicked off the program with a breakfast
honoring those who volunteer their time for
students.

Second and fourth grade parents at Cannons
Elementary School enjoyed their luncheon and
visitation day.
