Fourth grade students at Cannons
Elementary School participated in an art
printing activity with Museum on the Move, a
part of the Arts Encounter K-12 program
with Bob Jones Museum and Gallery.
Students jumped into the Renaissance
where they learned how a moveable type
printing press works, listened to a hurdy
gurdy (a Renaissance musical instrument),
and created their own Renaissance art print Cannons Elementary School
to take home.
Cannons Elementary School’s fifth graders are using K-NEX
vehicles to test the effects of balanced and unbalanced
forces.
Middle School of Pacolet
Jarius, a student learner from Broome
High School, taught a lesson in Mr.
Wilson’s Gateway to Technology class
at Middle School of Pacolet.
Fourteen Middle School of Pacolet
girls competed in the second annual
Miss Indian pageant. The overall talent
winner was Kaylee Owens, second
runner up was Celsa Perkins, first
runner up was Carlie Swann, and the
overall interview winner and new Miss
Indian is Asia Smith. Congratulations
to all of the girls for their hard work and
great performances.
