The Foothills Chapter of the American Orff-
Schulwerk Association hosted Sharon Mazion’s
workshop, “Cultivating Confidence and
Collaboration through the Creative
Process.” Mrs. Mazion guided participating
teachers, including Bonnie-Lee Mizzell and
Martha Corbin from Cannons Elementary
School, to collaborate and process the steps for
supporting creative experiences in the
classroom.
Cannons Elementary School five-year
kindergarten students are discussing our
newest research in groups before writing. They
learned all about coyotes and are sharing their
research!
Middle School of Pacolet
Allison Sutton’s class at Middle School of
Pacolet participated in a station review
activity on exponents and scientific
notation. Students used white boards and
their desks for scratch work.
Vocal Soloists from the Middle School of
Pacolet Singers have started a new tradition
of singing our National Anthem, "The Star
Spangled Banner", at home football games
and home volleyball matches.
Middle School of Pacolet Junior Beta
Club members held their first meeting
to discuss expectations of the group,
as well as community service projects
in their future.
