CES continued

Cowpens Elementary School fourth graders
wrote book reports that detailed character traits,
plot, and the author’s craft.

Second graders at Cowpens Elementary
School conducted several experiments to
learn about the properties of solids and liq-
uids. In one, they dissolved salt in water to
make a liquid, then observed the changes
over time, as the water evaporated, and the
salt crystalized into a solid. Fifth graders at Cowpens Elementary
School used their Chromebooks to create
historical fiction reports on the
contributions of Chinese Americans
during the late 1800s.

Valentine’s Day at Cowpens Elementary
School is also Kindness Day. Accordingly,
students who assist the Guidance Counse-
lor by encouraging kind behavior through-
out the school, shared their ideas on the
school’s morning news.
