The adaptive re-use and conversion of the former Hopkins Furniture • A high standard of sustainability. Features
building included the partial demolition of the building and adjacent included upgrades to the existing building’s
former funeral home, and a historically sympathetic addition. The insulation, installation of “highly effi cient”
upgraded space features multiple restaurants, retail openings on the heating and cooling systems, use of regional and
fi rst fl oor, regular offi ces and an offi ce suite with more fl exible leasing recycled materials, installation of new windows,
and space, and a “penthouse” offi ce on top of the original building installation of a system that dims indoor
with an open deck above the third fl oor. lighting when ambient light increases, and a roof
paneling system on the fourth fl oor deck that
refl ects heat off the building. Certifi ed LEED
