2. LOCATION
Sjkoldenæsholm Golf Resort bene ts from a rural, yet highly accessible loca- tion, only 45 minutes drive from the capital of Denmark - Copenhagen.
Copenhagen Airport - the biggest airport in Scandinavia with direct connec- tions to major cities in the world is located in a distance of 45 minutes drive by car from Skjoldenæsholm Golf Resort.
The Golf Resort is located in a very close distance to Skjoldenæsholm Castle. The castle dates back to the 17th century and functions as a hotel and confer- ence center. In a close distance to the golf course, there is one of the largest tram museums in the world with more than 25.000 annual visitors.
Skjoldenæsholm is a very exclusive location and can attract guests coming for both golf as a sport activity or tourists coming for leisure. Skjoldenæsholm Golf Resort will soon be linked even closer to Copenhagen via the new high- speed railway line which will run to Copenhagen from Ringsted (closest town to Skjoldenæsholm Golf Resort). The line is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in 2018.
