Shown here are examples of various sign layouts. Examples A and B are construction signs showing the application of the Regional logo in both horizontal and centred usage. The layouts are based on the conventional 4’ x 8’ size. Both combine the Region’s logo with contract, project and contact information. The Univers type family is indicated for this information.
Example C is a sample for a project sign indicating the Region’s involvement with other partners in a specific development.
The layout and size of this type of sign may vary depending on the number of partners involved and additional graphic requirements such as perspective illustrations of the project. Art production limitations such as vinyl-cut graphics must be considered in the overall size. Keep in mind that a 4’ x 8’ sign viewed in an outdoor environment and at a distance will look much smaller, and to crowd it with information will detract from legibility and impact.
Example D indicates a possible facility sign. Size for this type of sign may vary depending on description and components of the facility.
Note: Numerous facility signs throughout the Region have been produced with etched or sandblasted images and feature the old circular, heraldic crest.
Major corporate facilities such as administrative head offices will maintain the existing, circular heraldic crest design until such time that the signage needs replacing.
