Nearest to 30 A game for 2 to 4 players

You need: spinner 1 - 10 (or dice); calculator

In this game, the winner is the player whose total score is nearest to 30.

o Decide who starts then take turns to go.

o Start by rolling the spinner twice and saying aloud the total of the
             scores.

          o Roll the spinner again, (ir~1 ". \~agree! .

             and saying the total. :l!V
                                                                                     .' ';!

                          My last total was
                          16 .. , plus 7 .. , 23!

          o If other players disagree
with any of your totals, use My final total is 28.
             a calculator to check it.
          o Keep rolling the spinner
             and adding to your total
             until you decide to stop
             taking your turn, then write
             down your final score.

             Remember! The winner
             is the player whose total
             score is nearest to 30!

o Continue in this way until every player has had a turn.

o When everyone has written their final score, decide the winner.

o Try to play the game more than once.

          Two variations:

1 Play again in the same way but now you are out of the game if
             you score over 30!

2 Start with a score of 30 each and subtract the numbers you
score on your turn. The player to get nearest to 0 wins!
This number line might help you decide the winner.
