             There was a severe drought in the land. The green grass quickly became dead, dry,


             brown and brittle. The little streams of water rapidly dried up so there were only muddy

             pools.  I saw a little colt rushing wildly around looking for green grass.  Suddenly

             the  frightened colt cleverly spotted some green shoots under a hedge.



            2. Use a ruler to underline all the adverbs and adjectives in these sentences.
