My name is Lucy and I was born in Kampala, in Uganda. I liked the weather
there as it was very hot, though we had rainy seasons. I didn’t enjoy
travelling on the bumpy roads but I loved going to school. We learnt so much

about God’s world and everyone was so friendly to me. The teachers were
kind to us all and really cared for us.

One day a carpenter was making a table from oak wood. He worked all the morning
until the pieces of the table were put together. The carpenter began to polish the

wood until it was shiny. He suddenly felt very tired so decided to go home early to see
his family. He was pleased with his day’s work.
