Hex                                                 interlocking square tiles,
                                                                 RMA or 1 cm squared paper

      These are hexominoes. These are not hexominoes.

      These hexominoes have the same area and perimeter.

                               area =  6sq cm                                   area =  6sq cm
                               perimeter =  12cm                                perimeter =  12cm

              Hexominoes all have the same area, but can they have different perimeters?
              Use squared paper to find out. Interlocking tiles might help you.

              Try to make sure your hexominoes are different.
              Not like these.
                                                                        It's  the  same  shape
                                                                           turned  round!
