Cut out a 10x10 grid
from the squared paper.
a Colour some of the squares.
b Glue the grid in your book.
c Underneath, write the fraction coloured
and the fraction not coloured
as 2-place decimal numbers.
d On your calculator, add these together
to make sure they total 1.
e Record the sum underneath.

Design and write about
a symmetrical pattern like this:
Design another pattern with 2 lines of symmetry
so that 0-08 is yellow and 0-56 blue.
a Use the grids on RM 68.
b Colour squares on pairs of grids.
