Instructions for the people of Israel

1. Take a lamb for your family. Each lamb must be a year old and
whole and perfect.

2. Let the lamb be with you for five days.

3. Kill the lamb at twilight on the fifth day.

4. Put some of its blood on the sides and tops of the door-frames

of your house.

5. Roast the rest of the meat.

6. Eat all of the meat with bitter herbs and bread made without yeast.

Eat it quickly while you are dressed and ready to go.
