            “-- Oh, no … No, no --"

"See you when I see you, Homs," he adds while he aims, pulls the trigger and
lodges one bullet to the head. At that close of a range, the Second Perp's body jolts in
reaction to the lead His body slumps against the trunk of a tree and seizes in silence.

On the highway, the sound of the lone gunshot is heard, almost in unison,
everyone hits the asphalt and takes cover behind their vehicle.

"Shot fired ... Gunshot fired," one of the officers' closest to a squad car yells on
the encrypted and secured police walkie-talkie. Instantly, a couple of police officers
draw their handgun -- rushing -- in the direction of the gunshot. Without hesitation,

one of the News' crew follows suit while everyone else remains on the ground.

Back at the crash site, the First Perp wipes his fingers. He grabs a hand, jams
the handgun into the Second Perp's hand, and pulls the trigger. And he takes off on

      foot.

Soon, the officers locate the crashed RAM 1500; but nothing, there’s nobody
      in the truck.

"Freeze ... Footprints," CPL. CANDICE calls out while she points to markings.

Simultaneously, the visibly shaken CAMERA MAN drops his camera while the
FEMALE REPORTER looks at him with disgust -- still holding on to her mic.

"Four footprints ..." Officer MALONE confirms. "Two sets, a wide and an extra-
      wide --" MALONE is interrupted.
