the Biker appeared motionless. But his left leg twitches, gradually stretches, and a
faint whimper followed by, "Fuck me!" with a distinct masculine voice. He struggles
to pull the dented helmet off his own head, and slams helmet against the asphalt.
“This is fucked up,” he screamed, grabbing his head with both hands.
In the meantime, the Gwinnett County Communications Central receives
numerous calls about the high-speed chase and gunshots. A Communications Officer
initiates a police and fire detail and dispatched various law enforcement units to the
scene. With protocol and following guidelines, responding First Responder and law
enforcement officers receive notifications about a black truck -- traveling in
excessive speed -- and discharging a weapon.
Moments later -- WAILING emergency sirens -- sounds of police cars and
other emergency vehicles fill the air. Horns honking, the scene looks chaotic --
vehicles parked haphazardly -- an elderly woman crawls out of a green sedan
experiencing cardiac arrest. In heat of the moment, nobody seems to pay attention.
When the cops arrived, the highway was in total chaos. Soon, a tall, bald State
police officer steps down from his squad car. Next, a Gwinnett County Fire truck --
PULLS -- over just a few yards before Alonzo's Jeep and the mangled bike. An
ambulance, then a fire truck follows. As luck, would have it, no extrication is needed.
However, two medics toil on the Biker while the Lead Medic accounts for every
occupant in all vehicles.
The African-American driver of the gray 2016 SUV, Alonzo Thomas -- wearing
a well-fitted light blue linen suit, classic-fit non-iron solid shirt, and a blue tie to
match -- steps out. The clean-shaven chocolate face of a man –--spotting a well-
trimmed black mustache -- appears visibly shaken by the close highway chase and
shootings. A consummate practitioner of his craft, Alonzo is a master-level and
