FUTURE

The Saint Francis of Assisi Chapel at the medical
center was standing room only on September 14,
2017, as the expansion and renovation of the
Mother Baby Unit was dedicated and celebrated.
UM St. Joseph has always been committed to
serving families. Bringing new life into the world
is a particular joy for our staff.
Funded solely through philanthropy, the capital
campaign, Building For Our Future, was successful
because of the hundreds of donors who supported
the project. We are especially grateful to The
Honorable Francis X. Kelly, Jr. and Mrs. Janet Kelly
for their significant cornerstone gift. We are also
indebted to James P. O’Conor and the Edward V.
Julio family who made lead gifts, ensuring our new
families have an experience befitting the miracle of
new life.
An investment in maternal child health is literally
an investment in our future. We believe that
the babies born at UM St. Joseph today will be
tomorrow’s inspiration for making our world a
better, safer and more compassionate place to live.
