UM St. Joseph raises Breast Cancer funds

and awareness in the community during October

Breast Cancer Awareness month was on everyone’s mind at UM St. Joseph
Medical Center in October. Get Your Pink On, our initiative to make sure our
community has the tools and resources to learn more about breast cancer,
was a smashing success. We are grateful to About Faces Day Spa, ACAC
Timonium Fitness and Wellness Center, and Lori’s Gifts who partnered with
us to create incentives for everyone to get involved in Get Your Pink On.

The month-long campaign raised $140,000 for the Geraldine G. Schultz
Fund for Breast Cancer Survivors, culminating in a lovely reception at the
home of Ozzie and Joe Cowan, generous supporters of the fund. Guests
learned more about this important endowment that will assist women
in the survivorship phase of their breast cancer journey. The Cowans are
graciously reaching into the community to seek additional support for the
Schultz Fund.
