Covering the basics of veterinary anaesthesia, this course will be suitable for anyone who wants to refresh their knowledge – returning to work after a break, final year students, clinical coaches
helping students with anaesthesia, or anyone who needs a reminder concerning current practice. The course covers all the information needed to perform routine anaesthesia, from admittance to discharge of the patient. There will be a section on basic physiology of anaesthesia, as a means of introducing the topic. Different types of equipment, breathing systems and scavenging will be discussed, as will the use of intravenous fluids. Analgesic techniques such
