Safe Combustible Dust Explosion Isolation
A safe and effective means of isolating enclosures to prevent further spread of explosion pressure and Januar y 2019
flames must be an integral component of such a system. The new and improved REMBE Exkop isolation
system is available for many more applications: for ST 2 dusts, reduced explosion pressures (Pred) of up to
2 bar and larger diameters. It provides safe, economic, and easy explosion, spark, and flame front isolation.
The pinch valves protect interconnected equipment by high-speed closure of a fast-acting food grade elas-
tomer hose and is triggered by a signal from an explosion panel, a Q-Rohr-3, Q-Box II an infra-red signal or
pressure/temperature sensors. The system is fail-safe and easy to test/reset.

Mechanical Conveyors
When an application requires convey-
ing powder and bulk materials verti-
cally, WAM offers vertical screw con-
veyor systems and bucket elevators. A
vertical screw conveyor is used when
capacity, height, and elevated products
meet easy-to-handle characteristics. A
bucket elevator is used when the ca-
pacity gets big, the elevation gets high,
and the product to handle gets more
difficult. During the elevating process
there is no impact of mechanical force
to the product, which makes the bucket
elevator applicable for delicate or very
abrasive products. WAM offers centrifu-
gal and continuous gravity discharge
styles of elevators, in a wide variety of
bucket styles and materials, mounted
on chains or belts. Coupled with a wide
range of component materials, WAM
can customize the equipment to meet
the application requirements.

Dust Collectors for Dry Processing
Whirl Wet dust collectors perform at
high efficiencies: 99%+ range for a
broad variety of soluble and insoluble
particulate. Units are self-cleaning; par-
ticulate is deposited at the bottom of the
unit as a dense filter cake. The patented
design has no moving parts, does not
use “maintenance” components such as
nozzles or pumps, and consumes mini- ®
mal water. Energy generated inside the The Ceram-Back Elbow
unit will not allow the system to clog
under any operating conditions, so the
