Volumetric Vibratory Filling
Packager of insect control products needed to fill a
new product with widely varying density – from
hour to hour changes – live insect pupae, that
made conventional filling by weight unsuitable.
Auger filling was additionally ruled out, as it would
damage the delicate, living, product.
To accommodate this rather unconventional appli-
cation, ALL-FILL re-designed and re-engineered its
Model VF Vibratory Filler for a novel method of
measuring and controlling volumetric filling.

This variant of the Model VF consists of a Hopper
supplying the bulk product, a Vibrator and Vibrating
Pan assembly, a Volume Bucket, and Discharge
Funnel. During operation, the Vibrator Pan oper-
ates to distribute product into the Volume Bucket.
Upon actuation of a Proximity Sensor mounted at
the top of the Bucket, an air cylinder operates to
open the Bucket through the Discharge Funnel.
The volume of product that actuates the proximity
sensor is completely selectable from the Touch
Screen Control Panel. A simple, 2-step, calibration
sequence adjusts the sensor for minimum and
maximum levels. Additionally, a selection of the
control panel can be used to adjust sensor opera-
tion for premature actuation due to different prod-
ucts or characteristics.
