BEMBRIDGE HOLIDAY DETAILS

The plan for the weekend is to start with a pair’s event on Friday afternoon
at around 3:00 pm. The ideal number is 6 Pairs per group but this and the
Triples will depend on the entry numbers. The Singles will be played on Fri-

day and Saturday evening. Entry is of course optional and you can decide
to enter or not after you arrive so you can have your evenings free to enjoy

all the evening entertainment.

The pairs will continue on Saturday. On Sunday morning will see the start
of the Triples tournament. Ideally with four teams per group and all events

will be completed by Sunday evening, so you can leave on Monday after
Breakfast as early as you like to start your journey home.

The Ferry Company is Wightlink and they have two sailing points. Lyming-

ton to Yarmouth is convenient for everyone coming from the West/Mdlands
etc. Whilst Portsmouth to Fishbourne is perhaps best for those coming from
the East or the North. The Ferry journey time is around 40 minutes or so, a

quick short journey to the Island across the Solent.

Room upgrades are also available in the hotel as are Balcony, Patio and
Sea View rooms etc. Please ask for prices. There is of course plenty of

parking and Warners Bembridge on the internet will show all the on-site fa-
cilities available.

Next Autumn is a long way off and I had hoped to start in the spring of 2024

but this proved not possible. Single accommodation is limited as are easy
access shower rooms etc. You can reserve your rooms early to make sure

you get what you want, just let me know. Non-bowlers are also very wel-
come to enjoy the on-site facilities available. Deposits will not be required
until next year, For those wishing to arrive early or stay later etc. There are

both Travelodge’s and Premier Inns on the Island offering budget accom-
modation.

On arrival at the competition desk in the Bowls Hall you will be given your

scorecards for the Pairs so you will know the start time of each game, your
opponents names and your Mat Number. This will allow you to plan your

free time. Sunday Triples times will be available on Saturday once all teams
have been confirmed.

Please remember that I will be supplying all the bowling mats from my stock

of Verde carpets, so the speed and quality will be consistent on all carpets.
