Leadership Function: Corporate Planning
Description:
Coordinates the development of strategic plans for the corporation and affiliates. Monitors national, state, regional, and local trends that affect health care. Measures and monitors activities of competitors and their effect on the organization. Maintains a database system for marketing and planning information. Directs all external market research. Coordinates the certificate of need process.

• A strategic plan is developed for the corporation and all its affiliates on a three-year cycle. Each year the plan is reviewed and updated as necessary. This annual review process is carried on through the spring and summer, with final corporate and affiliate board approvals in August or September.
