Transforming Quality Metrics
driving a major transition in quality standards for Mclaren health Care is a study in contrasts.
It demands major, systemic e orts that reinvent care delivery throughout our statewide system. Yet, moving the needle on quality requires hundreds, if not thousands of small changes, to the level of
how a single digit is entered in a health record database, or how  oors are cleaned in a patient room.
Quality health care is details ... details ... and more details. It is people engaged in improving quality every day; physicians and sta  with the support, knowledge and tools they need; constant benchmarking of data on what works best; and engaging patients as active partners in their own care.
Much of our work at McLaren in raising the bar on quality comes through rethinking our internal administration and care protocols. Without solid,
