WHAT WE
BELIEVE IN
Financial security impacts all aspects of our lives—our education, our
health, our ability to hold down a job, our ability to buy a home, and
our ability to pass on a legacy for future generations.
Living while constantly worrying about money is no fun. Yet, thinking
about money is absolutely necessary. Hence, it is one of the main
causes of stress. Simply put, we were not made to think about money.
Our primal instincts urge us to focus on today. There’s a reason we
have trouble thinking about our future selves (the person we’re saving
for). We were built to live in the now. When nearly 100 million people in
this country are working hard every day to make ends meet. They’re
doing everything right to provide for their children. Many of them hold
two or three jobs. They pay their taxes. And yet they’re barely making
ends meet – let alone making a better life for themselves and their
kids.
All people should have the ability to succeed, contribute to their
communities, and live meaningful lives—regardless of their starting
point. When most of the people in our country are just getting by,
rather than getting ahead, something is broken. Umbrella is working to
make it right.
