USE OF NARRATOLOGY CONCEPTS in "Dear Diary..." Plot category: The short story uses a single plot, that shows Leo's day. The story also uses a main plot. Setting: The story has a minor setting, since it is not fundamental fot the plot development. Conflict: The story has a Character vs. Self conflict, since it revolves around the conflict the protagonist (Leo) has about his identity, and if it should be defined by other others, or not. Characters: Leo is a major character, since the story needs him to occur. He is the protagonist too, since the main events are developed by him. Characterization: When the narrator said "She was a blonde girl, with blue eyes.", there is a clear demonstration of direct characterization. In that case, too, there is a block characterization, since there is a whole description of the character.
