cross-drilled and internally ventilated, so
they can easily dissipate any heat that builds up. In addition to the purely mechanical components
of the brake,
the electronics
used also play
an important
role in the brake
performance. The
911 GT3 RS features a specially designed brake booster, and the control unit of the ABS has been specifically adapted for optional use on the racetrack.
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) The braking performance of the 911 GT3 RS can be increased even further with the optionally available PCCB. This optional extra has
already demonstrated proven its worth in racing series such as the Porsche Mobil
1 Supercup. The cross-drilled ceramic composite brake discs have a diameter of 410 mm at the front and 390 mm
at the rear. The six-piston
aluminium monobloc fixed brake calipers at the front axle and four-piston aluminium monobloc fixed brake calipers at the rear axle, which are finished with yellow paint, ensure very high and particularly constant brake pressure during deceleration. High resistance to fading is guaranteed, even under maximum stress.
