Louisiana Young Lawyers Conference: The committee has met several times and speakers are being
finalized. The conference will be held during the LSBA Midyear Meeting in January. This year’s theme
is “Your Practice, Your Future”

Ad Hoc Committee on the "Playbook": The committee has met and is in the process on aligning the
first submission to mirror the topics of the Louisiana Young Lawyers Conference. The first part will
focus on building your practice.

Public Service/Wills for Heroes: The WFH Chairs, with the help of other YLD Council members and
local bar associations, have held events since August. Below is a list of recent and upcoming events:
• September 6 – Slidell
• September 8 – Amite
• October 5 – New Orleans
• October 18 – Plaquemines
• November 8 – Baton Rouge
• November 15 – Shreveport
• November - Slidell
• February 2020 - Lafayette

Bridging the Gap: YLD members moderated sessions at the Bridging the Gap seminar held October
16-17.

Louisiana Bar Journal Articles: YLD members are working on articles to be submitted to the Editorial
Board for the upcoming “Future of the Legal Profession” issue.
