Once or twice a month, remove the prosthesis with clean hands and inspect it closely. If deposits are seen, scrub the prosthesis
with a wet cotton ball. Please note that only 100% cotton balls should be used. Synthetic “cotton balls” will damage the
surface of your prosthesis.
Place the prosthesis in a small, clean container. Pour a solution of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide over the prosthesis and let it sit for
15-20 minutes to disinfect. Rinse it thoroughly with a sterile saline solution and, leaving it wet, insert the prosthesis as
directed by your Ocularist.
If the prosthesis is not positioned correctly, remove it and reinsert. Call Yamout for detailed instructions relating to your
specific case.
