What This Module All About

Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions, it is all about arts produced by Filipino
artists in the twenty-first century. Students will know and learn about the different Philippine arts
made or created by Filipino Artists. This will make students appreciate more about Filipino culture
and traditions through the forms of arts in the Philippines.

This module will introduce to the students Filipino artists, musicians and song writers,
sculptors and painters, and Philippine National Artists. With this the students will know how rich
the Philippine culture is.

At the end of the session of this module, the learners will be able to:

a. Define Contemporary Art;
b. Describe the various art forms in the Philippines;
c. Display appreciation in one’s culture;
d. Demonstrate appreciation in the various forms of Philippine arts.
