Cochise College
Scholarships are now available for participants in more. Visit the Home Show’s website for directions,
the upcoming Non-Profit Management Certificate
Program offered through Cochise College’s Center
for Lifelong Learning.
The program teaches the skills and strategies in-
dividuals need to become an integral part of an orga-
nization. Participants in this non-credit program are
awarded 1.4 CEUs (continuing education units) per
class or 5.6 CEUs for completing all four courses.
To apply for a scholarship to attend a course or
the entire program, visit www.cochise.edu/cll and
submit the application by July 6. Recipients will be
announced July 8.

Join Police Department Citizens Academy
The next Sierra Vista Police Department Citi-
zens Police Academy is scheduled to begin Aug. 5.
Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from
6 to 9 p.m., for 12 consecutive weeks in the Police
Department Auditorium, 1011 N. Coronado Dr., Si-
erra Vista.
Students will be involved with activities includ-
ing hands-on simulated weapons training, evidence
processing and participating in a ride-along with an
on-duty police officer. Academy graduates will have
an understanding and an “insider’s” view of Sierra
Vista law enforcement operations. There is no cost
to the public. Snacks and refreshments are provided.
