Life after Lockdown
Our Stories
What changes have you made during lockdown that you would like to continue when restrictions ease?
During the pandemic I have
taken on more DIY challenges
(under duress) - Installed new decking and landscaped the
garden. I have also started to train properly again. We set up a Virtual Challenge for our team to travel across Spain and we completed 500 miles of exercise in the month of June.

How has technology impacted you during this time? Will you consider using meeting apps (video) more in the future to catch up with family and friends?
Since the Pandemic technology has become a lifeline to
me and my family. My wife, our three children and I have
benefitted from the use of mobile phones, Laptops and even
streaming the X box! Technology has been able to keep our
family together, Our closest relatives live on their own so a skype
call every day and a Friday night quiz on the Computer console(with
Gin) has broken up the days of loneliness and unnatural existence. My wife and I have also been able to keep contact with friends, I even managed to get a pass for a poker night with the hockey lads!

It feels like technology has completely taken over during the pandemic. To start with, every day and evening was packed with zoom meetings, quizzes, family catch ups and online
exercise classes but thankfully it is winding down now we are a few months in. I ended up limiting screen time on my phone a few weeks after lockdown to give
myself a rest from it all. Having Zoom for work has been great but I can’t see myself using it in my home life
when this is all over.
