        McLaren Greater Lansing Offers Discounted Telehealth Visits


        During Cold and Flu Season





        FLU SEASON IS TAKING A SERIOUS TOLL ON MID-MICHIGAN this year. Since
        November, McLaren Greater Lansing has seen nearly 400 flu cases, with nearly
        one in ten patients being admitted to the hospital with flu symptoms.

        Now more than ever it is important to take steps to get help to keep flu symptoms
        from worsening, and McLaren Greater Lansing is offering a discount on its
        cutting-edge McLarenNow telehealth service to help people during this increased
        time of need.

        Through March 31, the McLarenNow telehealth service will be available at a
        special price of $29 per visit. This pricing is being offered throughout the peak of
        flu and cold season and is available to anyone using the service.

        The McLarenNow telehealth service uses a smartphone, tablet, or computer
        camera as a webcam to connect patients with a doctor who can help them with
        minor illnesses and injuries, and even prescribe medication if necessary. Patients
        can see and hear the physician directly through live video.

        McLarenNow can be used for far more than just help with the flu. Common
        conditions that can be treated through McLarenNow include cough and cold, ear
        pain, headaches, pink eye, rash, sore throat and sinus problems. McLarenNow
        should not be used for emergencies. n
