The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) and LEAP were
happy to celebrate the grand opening of the new Okemos Music
Academy, located at 2220 University Park Drive in Okemos. They had
originally planned a big 20-year celebration, but it didn’t work out due
to the pandemic, so they moved to a beautiful building instead and
are now celebrating 22 years in 2022! There was live music, a ribbon-
cutting ceremony, and special guest Jacob Moran from American Idol!

AARP Michigan, joined by the Lansing Chamber of Commerce,
officially christened its new headquarters on April 27 in the historic
Louie Building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebratory
open house. The AARP state headquarters for the nation’s largest
nonprofit, nonpartisan organization is now positioned within view of
the Legislature where it regularly advocates for people 50 and older.

Lyle along with the AARP Michigan team and council members.

The LRCC, Meridian Area Business Association, Grand Ledge Chamber,
Lansing Pharaohs, Martin Commercial Properties, Greater Lansing
Area Moms, TV10 and others joined the ORS Gateway Lofts owners
and staff on June 9 to officially cut the ribbon on the new ORS clinic,
located at 3108 E. Michigan Ave. For more information about ORS or to

The LRCC participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Bazonzoes
Provisioning Center’s third location at 920 American Road in Lansing.
The new location features the first drive-up window in the area.
The grand opening event featured vendors, music performances,
giveaways, games and discounts. The first 100 people in the store
also received a free swag bag. For more information, visit

The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce was pleased to host a
ribbon cutting celebration on June 2 for the relocated Athletico branch
in East Lansing, located at 1595 W Lake Lansing Rd #130, East Lansing.
They are pleased to offer a variety of physical therapy and rehabilitation
services to help patients get back to doing what they love to do. This
location offers treatment for a variety of conditions, including back
and neck pain, muscle strains and sprains, joint replacement therapy,
vestibular rehabilitation, as well as sport, work or auto injuries. We are
proud to see this company grow in the mid-Michigan region.

It was a beautiful day to celebrate the grand opening of the
new Butterfly Garden at Okemos Public Montessori @ Central.
Representatives from Michigan State University, Meridian Township,
Meridian Garden Club, and more were on hand to celebrate this
development at the school, and they were pleased to have Dr. Norm
from MSU Children’s Garden officially cut the ribbon. This garden will
help the children to learn more about the importance of pollinator like
butterflies, conservation and much more.
