In May 2021, the report was officially released to the local business
community. It showcased the region’s core strengths and growth
opportunities by comparing the region against 11 thriving communities
in the nation on 42 economic indicators. It also showcased the need to
establish a vision for the Lansing region’s future and move the needle on
population growth, educational attainment, private sector investment,
job growth and affordability.
