the ways of nonviolence that were pioneered by her parents.
Thank you all for taking the time to watch this year’s program. It is imperative that we take time to
properly honor Dr. King and his contributions, especially in times like these, and we pray that we Brandon Betz, First Ward Councilmember Kathie Dunbar, At-Large Councilmember
may be graced with the intangible qualities he possessed that helped change society. Doctor King’s
legacy is fully embodied in his own words, “…unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the
final word.”
