“No Mind” – The Samurai Way
Being a trader is like being a Samurai warrior. The Samurai warrior
attempts to have a clear mind in battle. They call this state of having a
clear mind, “No Mind”. In fact the teachings say that, in battle, if a
Samurai warrior thinks about the outcome, he has already lost since he
no longer is in the present moment.
The Samurai believes that by dreaming of the outcome, he cannot be
totally in the reality of the current moment. He is not focused in the
current reality and will not fight as he needs to. The same theory
applies to trading. Take yourself out of the current reality and you’re
not trading the markets, you are trading your fantasies about the
markets. Loss is inevitable!
