HOW TO OBTAIN TRADE SECRETS
Dealing with trade secrets
• Only a limited number of people who need to know about the confidential information to perform their business duties have access to it.
• It needs to be clear that it is confidential information.
• Confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements with anyone who may see the confidential information have to be in place.
• Marking documents containing confidential information as
«confidential» and «do not copy».
• Having technical means in place to avoid unauthorized access, e.g. limiting access to facilities where the trade secrets are kept, use technology to prevent undue access, etc.
